Five Nights at Freddy's 2 - Play Free Online Unblocked
The terrifying prequel with 11 animatronics. No doors, only a Freddy mask. No download required.
🎮What is Five Nights at Freddy's 2?
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (FNAF 2) is the second installment in Scott Cawthon's legendary horror game series, released on November 10, 2014. Despite being the sequel, FNAF 2 is actually a prequel set in 1987, taking place before the events of the original game.
You play as a new security guard at the "new and improved" Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, featuring redesigned "Toy" animatronics alongside the old, damaged "Withered" models stored in the back room. With no doors to close and 11 animatronics hunting you, this is the most challenging FNAF game yet.
🤖All Animatronics in FNAF 2
FNAF 2 features 11 animatronic characters — the most in any mainline FNAF game:
🎀 Toy Animatronics (New Models)
🐻 Toy Freddy
The redesigned mascot with rosy cheeks and a sleeker appearance. He approaches through the main hallway. Put on your Freddy mask when you see him in your office, or he'll attack immediately.
🐰 Toy Bonnie
A bright blue rabbit with green eyes. He enters through the right air vent. When you see his glowing eyes in the vent, quickly put on the Freddy mask to fool him.
🐥 Toy Chica
A yellow chicken that removes her beak when hunting. She approaches through the left air vent. Her beak mysteriously disappears when she leaves the stage — adding to the game's unsettling atmosphere.
🦊 Mangle (Toy Foxy)
Originally "Toy Foxy," destroyed and rebuilt so many times by kids that staff gave up repairing it. Mangle crawls on ceilings and walls. You can hear static when it's in your office — a terrifying audio cue before the attack.
💀 Withered Animatronics (Old Models)
🐻 Withered Freddy
The original Freddy, now damaged and decayed. Missing parts of his suit reveal the endoskeleton beneath. He approaches through the hallway and requires the mask to deter.
🐰 Withered Bonnie
The most damaged animatronic — missing his entire face and left arm. His empty eye sockets stare directly at the camera. One of the most iconic and terrifying designs in FNAF history.
🐥 Withered Chica
Her jaw is permanently stuck open, arms are broken and raised. She's larger and more menacing than her Toy counterpart. Approaches through the left vent.
🦊 Withered Foxy
Even more torn than before. Unlike other animatronics, the Freddy mask doesn't work on Foxy — you must flash your flashlight at him in the hallway to reset his approach. Ignore him and he'll sprint into your office.
⚠️ Special Animatronics
🎈 Balloon Boy (BB)
A small humanoid animatronic holding balloons. He can't kill you directly but disables your flashlight, making you vulnerable to Foxy. Put on the mask immediately when he enters the vent.
🎭 The Puppet (Marionette)
The most dangerous animatronic. Keep the music box wound at all times via Camera 11. If the music stops, The Puppet emerges and nothing can stop it. The Freddy mask is useless against it.
🐻 Golden Freddy
A ghostly golden version of Freddy. Appears randomly when you lower your camera. Quickly put on the Freddy mask or pull up the camera to avoid an instant game over. His appearance is a haunting callback to FNAF 1.
🎯Gameplay Mechanics
FNAF 2 completely changes the formula with new survival mechanics:
🎭 Freddy Fazbear Mask
Your main defense. When animatronics enter your office, put on the empty Freddy head to fool them into thinking you're one of them. Works on most animatronics except Foxy and The Puppet. You cannot use the camera or flashlight while wearing it.
🔦 Flashlight
Use it to check the hallway and vents. The flashlight has limited battery that recharges slowly. Flash Foxy in the hallway to reset him. Essential for survival but Balloon Boy can disable it permanently if he reaches your office.
🎵 Music Box
The most critical mechanic. Access Camera 11 (Prize Corner) regularly to wind the music box. If it unwinds completely, The Puppet attacks and you cannot stop it. Balancing camera time, mask usage, and music box winding is the key to survival.
📹 Camera System
Monitor 12 cameras throughout the pizzeria. Track animatronic positions, wind the music box, and flash vent lights. Unlike FNAF 1, there are no power limits — but you're exposed while viewing cameras.
🚫 No Doors
Unlike FNAF 1, there are no security doors. Animatronics can freely enter your office from three directions: the main hallway and two air vents. Your only defenses are the mask and flashlight.
🌙Night-by-Night Guide
Night 1 - Introduction
Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, and The Puppet are active. Focus on learning the music box timing. Check vents regularly and mask up when animatronics appear. Phone Guy explains the new mechanics.
Night 2 - More Threats
Toy Freddy joins the hunt. Balloon Boy becomes active. Withered animatronics start appearing. Keep the flashlight charged and watch for BB in the vents — he'll disable your light if he gets in.
Night 3 - Foxy Returns
Withered Foxy becomes active. Remember: the mask doesn't work on him! Flash your light down the hallway when you see him. Mangle also becomes more aggressive. Listen for static — it means Mangle is nearby.
Night 4 - Full Roster
All animatronics are now active. Golden Freddy can appear randomly. This night tests all your skills. Develop a consistent routine: cameras → music box → hallway check → vent lights → mask when needed.
Night 5 - Maximum Danger
Animatronics move faster and are more aggressive. The music box unwinds quicker. This is where many players fail. Stay calm, follow your routine, and survive until 6 AM to see the ending.
Night 6 - Overtime
Unlocked after Night 5. The hardest normal night with extremely aggressive AI. Completing this unlocks the second star and reveals more story. You receive a pink slip firing you for "tampering with animatronics."
Custom Night - 10/20 Mode
Set all animatronics to maximum difficulty (20). The ultimate challenge. Completing 10/20 mode unlocks the third star. This is considered one of the hardest challenges in gaming history.
💡Survival Tips
- 1.
Music box is priority #1: Never let it run out. Check Camera 11 every few seconds. If you hear "Pop Goes the Weasel" playing, it's already too late.
- 2.
Check vents with flashlight: Before looking at cameras, always flash both vent lights. If an animatronic is there, mask up immediately before they enter your office.
- 3.
Flash Foxy immediately: When you see Withered Foxy in the hallway, flash him right away. The mask won't work on him. If you ignore him, he charges in seconds.
- 4.
Listen for audio cues: Mangle makes static noise when in your office. BB laughs "Hi" and "Hello" when approaching. Use audio to track threats without wasting flashlight.
- 5.
Develop a routine: Wind music box → Check hallway → Flash vents → Repeat. Consistency is key. Panic leads to forgetting the music box, and that means death.
📖Story & Lore
📅 The Bite of '87
FNAF 2 is set in 1987, before the first game. The infamous "Bite of '87" mentioned in FNAF 1 happens during this time — an animatronic bit a person's frontal lobe. Many believe Mangle was responsible due to its damaged state and mouth design.
👤 The Purple Guy
FNAF 2 introduces the Purple Guy (William Afton) through minigames. You see glimpses of murders at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The Puppet gives life to murdered children by placing them in animatronic suits — explaining why the robots hunt adults.
🎭 The Puppet's Origin
The "Give Gifts, Give Life" minigame shows The Puppet placing masks on dead children, possessing the animatronics. The Puppet itself is possessed by the first victim — a child killed outside the restaurant while the music box played.
